Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC)

Per Spokane Valley Municipal Code 3.20.040, there is established a Lodging Tax Advisory Committee consisting of five members. Two members shall be representatives of businesses required to collect the tax, two members involved in activities authorized to be funded by the tax, and one member of the City Council.


The City shall solicit recommendations from organizations representing businesses that collect the tax and organizations that are authorized to receive funds pursuant to this chapter. The distribution to organizations of lodging tax proceeds are recommended by this Committee and submitted to Council for final distribution. The grant process for consideration of these funds usually begins late August with grant applications being submitted to the City by late September for funding the following year.
