Term: 2024 to 2027
Tim Hattenburg is serving his second four-year term on the City Council, re-elected in November 2023.
Hattenburg is a published author and small business owner. He is a retired teacher, coach and athletic director with the Central Valley School District, and prior to City Council, he served ten years on the Spokane County Library Board of Trustees, with seven of those years as chair and vice-chair.
Hattenburg graduated from Central Valley High School, Spokane Falls Community College and Washington State University with a double major in education and history. He has also completed two years of postgraduate study at Gonzaga, Whitworth and Eastern Washington universities.
Hattenburg is a lifelong Spokane Valley native. He is married with three grown children and three grandchildren.
