Spokane Valley Launches Community Conversations

Home - News Posted on March 04, 2025

SPOKANE VALLEY, WA—The Spokane Valley City Council is kicking off a brand new community engagement program called Community Conversations. All community members are invited to attend the monthly events in person to meet and chat with their city leaders. The series kicks off on Tuesday, March 18, at 5 p.m. at Spokane Valley City Hall, 10210 E. Sprague Avenue.

Residents and anyone who works in Spokane Valley are encouraged to drop in, ask questions, share their thoughts, and learn about projects from City Councilmembers and staff.

“The Valley is a special place, and we want to ensure every voice is heard. Community Conversations gives us new ways to connect, listen to your ideas and inform the Council’s decision-making,” said Mayor Pam Haley. “Join us and let’s work together to build an even brighter future for Spokane Valley.”

Any topics of interest are welcome. Some projects to be highlighted throughout the year include the 2026 city budget, public safety, Spokane Valley Comprehensive Plan update, Parks and Recreation Master Plan update, addressing homelessness and capital improvement construction projects. Attendees are invited to stay after Community Conversations for the City Council meeting at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

In addition to Community Conversations, community members can contact City Councilmembers by emailing the full Council at CityCouncil@SpokaneValleyWA.gov, emailing or calling individual Councilmembers (contact information is available at SpokaneValleyWA.gov/CityCouncil) or providing public comment for up to three minutes at a City Council meeting (Council agendas are available at SpokaneValleyWA.gov/Agendas).
